Merry Christmas

I will be leaving on a trip to France soon so expect some amazing scenery and warm clothes! Sorry these photos are so dark! I love going out during the holidays because of all the lights and spending time with family. How was your Christmas? I will post videos of another show we had soon. We also wrote a new song that I expect to have up within the month of January.

ASOS Favorites

I thought I would start posting all my favorite outfits that I have found on the web. I love how ASOS puts together their outfits even on the shopping pages. That's a really great marketing tactic to see how to put clothes together. They've given me so many great ideas. They're always casual and very well-put together.I will usually save outfits with the girls wearing the things I own already or have similar items to, so that I know what to use within my means and closet.

Working on Control

I've been really working on voice control and listening to the nuances of Yukimi Nagano. Instead of singing a straight note, she adds variations, slurs, and a vibrato that is very different than I've ever heard. I think that makes the simplicity of Little Dragon unique and different from the other bands that have similar sounds. Here's a cover I use to practice so I can expand to lower notes and control. Eventually I want to find my own sound but with the similarity of changing and varying the note. Hope you like it, this song is very special to me.

The Roxy gig

Our first show at the Roxy. My friend and somewhat manager/producer invited us to open for him. We found out about 2 weeks before the show and I had nothing ready...or a bassist...or guitarrist. Eventually we found friends or friends of friends. Then I found out it was pay to play. So if you ever want to play at the Roxy...your band has to sell tickets -__-; But it was the most exciting experience, being our first real show so it was worth it. Here's some samples that we recorded in my garage with a Snowball mic and garageband. It was a little rushed because we recorded it the day-of, a couple hours before the show. More original stuff to come with the band and smoother. cleaner recordings. Visit youtube to watch this show here:

Collecting and counting ticket money

So i shall begin yet another blog, but I thought it should not only involve fashion, but something that I am really passionate about. This blog will document my journey and growth as a musician. I hope if anyone finds it they will, as a community give suggestions, positive criticism, and tips. I really believe that ever since I have involved myself with the musical community, such honesty and positivity has reestablished my faith in humanity and its ability to work together (that is, if they are true, honest musicians).  Although I still feel like a lost, black sheep, music has led me to the other little lost sheep so that we can come together and to put it simply, jam. I'll begin with the playlists of the beginning
